Express Entry is not an immigration program but an electronic system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to choose skilled immigrants as permanent residents based on their ability to settle in Canada and take part in our economy.
This system will help IRCC recruit, assess and select skilled immigrants based on current labour market needs under the following federal economic immigration programs:
This system will also allow provinces and territories to actively recruit candidates for a portion of their Provincial Nominee Programs to meet their regional labour market demands.
Employers will also be able to access the system for skilled candidates through Canada’s Job Bank and through provinces and territories, where applicable.
If you want to apply for permanent residence, whether you are already in Canada or still abroad, it is most certain that your application will need to go through the Express Entry route. Contact Visa2Canada to find out your possibilities and your route to follow.
